US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific, Kurt Campbell, has left Beijing for Seoul. He is now in a five-day tour of Asia.

Campbell met with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai, and they have discussed a range of important bilateral regional and global issues. Tuesday’s meeting is viewed as an important opportunity to continue to build a cooperative partnership between China and the United States on shared global challenges.
